Goya & Africa is a digital-first exhibition bridging the visions of great artists working centuries, continents, and cultures apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The paintings and prints of the Spanish artist Francisco de Goya (1746-1828) are some of the most powerful artworks ever produced about conflict, poverty and violence. This exhibition presents a small selection alongside works by contemporary African artists Michael Armitage, Dumile Feni, Ronald Harrison, William Kentridge, Rom\u00e9o Mivekannin, Grace Nyahangare, Johannes Phokela, Athi-Patra Ruga, Yinka Shonibare MBE, and Diane Victor, whose responses to the legacies of war and colonialism in Africa resonate with Goya\u2019s.
